Take a Shorter Shower

Did you know that you can save an average of 18,000 gallons of water each year by switching to a low-flow showerhead and approximately 2,000 gallons a year by reducing shower time by one minute?
waterSmart’s Take a Shorter Shower Month teaches you to install low-flow showerheads and change your shower habits to see how easy it is to save water and money. During the month of October you are invited to participate in “Take a Shorter Shower Month” in Cobb County! There will be community activities, information and events all month long, including a low-flow showerhead giveaway!
Join waterSmart at Compton Elementary in Powder Springs on Oct. 22 starting at 8:00 a.m. to receive free low-flow shower heads, shower timers and conservation coloring books for kids as part of the Lowe's water conservation festival and unveiling of the new waterSmart garden created and funded by the Lowe's Heroes Program.
Take a Shorter Shower is helping homeowners and businesses alike to join the water conservation initiative. Through community partnering, the Cobb County Water System is supplying each Cobb County facility with low-flow shower heads to help make them waterSmart too. Aquatic centers, fire stations, parks and even jails will be retrofitted with the low-flow showerheads, compliments of Cobb County Water System. So do your part and Take a Shorter Shower today!
